Yesterday’s knife rampage incident on Clarence Street was very close to MEGA. It was literally about 100 metres away. We are closely monitoring the situation for our safety of our staff and students. We are ready to activate our lockdown procedure. Fortunately, the attacker was arrested swiftly by a few brave public citizens. Our staff and students are offered counselling supports, if required.

Congratulations to the MEGA Smarter Pathway Team today. We all finished the City2Surf 14 km challenge. There was no one left behind. For a few, finishing the race was already a great personal achievement. Special mention to our Japanese student, Hiroyuki, who zombie-walked the entire distance and never gave up! And Shirin, who always watched our back, by staying in the last position and never quit also. Well done to everyone for displaying mateship, encouraging and helping others to finish the race. Very proud of you!

Our CEO still managed to squeeze a little time today to catch up with MEGA’s English graduate. Kuang-Fu, from Taiwan, who is currently at the University of Tasmania. He has successfully passed his 1 year foundation course and his first semester of Bachelor of Agriculture Science! We are glad that MEGA has transformed his life positively!
